My weekend went by slowly - which is a good thing.
Friday night I met up with the girls for a birthday dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. I’m not all for the chain restaurant dining but Cheesecake Factory is my one exception (ooh that and my secret love for Red Lobster).
I usually don’t lean towards choosing a chain to eat at – if you catch me at one its most likely another diner’s suggestion and I was not in the mood to suggest otherwise. Or case in point, it was the Birthday Girl’s choice. I just heart the Cheesecake Factory – the never ending menu, the décor and the always nice staff. I’ve never run into any meanie waiters there. And the food never disappoints. Unfortunately, I ate way too much.
Afterwards we continued at an outdoor patio bar. Yes, it was way too hot to be outside and drinking on an overcrowded patio. It was insane. I was too full to stand up all the time. And I'm not feeling drunken girls bumping into me or men hitting on me. So I was done and went home.
The rest of the weekend consisted of the norm: grocery shopping, errands, etc. Sunday, I treated myself to a movie, Brideshead Revisted. Let me just say: wow. I went in knowing very little about the movie. I left wanting every outfit that Celia wore (and I so thought everyone was calling her Julia in the movie.
The only star I knew in it was Emma Thompson. You could imagine my surprise when my British husband showed up on the screen, I was in fantasy heaven.
I’ve been hearting on Matthew Goode, ever since Imagine Me and You. And then Match Point. I looooooove him with seven O’s. I do. He is so, hmm. I can’t get enough and he needs to do more stuff. Or he could just move next door to me, the apartment is empty and we can become BFFs.
Overall just go see it and I dare you to tell me he is not one hot Brit. And then we can discuss if it was absolutely necessary that the character Sebastian be that skinny!
