Cowboy has been extended his stay in Iraq for another week. So what was two weeks is now three weeks. On top of that, he will be flying directly to a different city in Texas and has to stay there for a couple of days to out-process. That means, it's more like three weeks which could be four weeks.
Do you know what that adds up to?
A month.
Fuck.

that seriously sucks. not that it is the same situation, but a good friend of mine's husband is a ship's captain in the gulf of mexico (very far away from home here in nova scotia) ... he is on the ship for 6 weeks and off for 6 weeks, but it always ends up that he has to stay an extra few days and/or gets called back early and/or has travelling issues that cut his hometime short ... so i have witnessed her disappointment and frustration. and this is so much more intense of a situation ... considering where cowboy has been, what he's been doing and how long he's been gone. i hope the next month flies by ... i can't wait to read your first "cowboy's home!" post. :)
oh that is truly terrible. I am so sorry to hear that. However, this gives you a little bit more time to get everything in order and decorated like you had planned on.
I hope it goes by fast for you both.

Chin up! Why do things never work out the way we want them to or plan them to?? Life is not fair!!! You can do it, "they" say 'everything happens for a reason'...I'm not sure we ever find out what the reasons were in life but you can do it. You are a strong, beautiful, intelligent, wonderful woman and you can do it. I know your life with Cowboy is going to be the best life ever...while he is away and when he gets home. You can do it!
