New Year, Clean Slate

Whoo hoo, 2007 is finally here!!

Happy New Year.

I have to say this time New Year's Eve didn't have one shed of disappointment. Usually there is a big build up and then not that great of a celebration. This year I had to work. Boo? Not so much...

The party my company sponsored was a huge hit. We (the company) had our doubts of how it was going to be executed - let's just say some people didn't have their ducks in a row days before the countdown. I was never worried because this was the first year of the event - there is bound to be some mistakes and whatnot.

I only doubted my attendance. Who wants to ring in the new year with your boss and co-workers? I'd rather be with friends and family or on my couch in my PJs.

But ringing in the new year with us was an American Idol, a few Cowboys, and a famous chef.

Which one do you think I got all excited about?

When you are the biggest groupie of the chef you get the biggest steak at the table - hell, yeah. And it was the best steak!

The new year was broughten in a big way: drinking (open bar), dancing (all night), and drinking some more at some random party I found and was invited to at our hotel.
Uhm hmm - let me tell you I can find myself smack dab in the middle of any private party ;)

As tradition allows, New Years Day, I woke up earlier than most got breakfast and met some people up at the bar. It is football day. And that means spending the rest of the day and night at the bar. Lunch and dinner and snacks.
And I almost felt like I had to spend the night there - the Boise/OU game went into overtime and there were such great plays that we couldn't risk leaving the game before it ended - so it was another long night.

And poor me has to be at work in two hours...hopefully I'll stay awake.

Happy New Year! Here's to 2007!

Was it Carrie Underwood? Was she there with Romo? I hear they're dating.

And how was that steak? Did you finish it?

You are a chef groupie? Wow, we learn something new about you everyday. You are clever that way. I would've never thought to kiss up to a chef. Brilliant.
